bolttech launches a GenAI platform on AWS to power multilingual bots, automate claims, and cut dev time by 50%.

Insurtech firm bolttech has launched the GenAI Factory, a platform built on AWS Amazon Bedrock, to deploy GenAI across customer service, underwriting, and claims. This system expands their omnichannel contact center—already powered by Amazon Connect and Lex—by adding agentic AI capabilities, including multilingual, speech-to-speech chatbots now piloting in Korean.

GenAI solves several operational bottlenecks. It automates repetitive tasks like claims triage, freeing human agents to focus on complex cases. Personalized bot responses improve accuracy and speed across diverse policy questions. Internally, bolttech uses GenAI tools to assist teams across the insurance value chain, from developing products to handling underwriting and fraud risk faster.

The company’s GenAI strategy focuses on three pillars: prediction, prevention, and recovery. For prediction, AI analyzes user behavior to offer real-time policy pricing, such as dynamic auto insurance based on driving data. For prevention, AI systems alert customers to cyber threats or weather risks, helping them take action before damage occurs. On recovery, bots speed up post-incident claims and offer instant support.

bolttech also uses Amazon Q Developer to reduce code documentation time by over 50%. The tool reads large JavaScript and Python codebases and simplifies onboarding for engineers. This means developers spend more time coding and less time searching for technical answers—boosting software team velocity across bolttech’s operations in 37 markets.
