Dubai Airport unveils GenAI powered passenger corridor clearing immigration in 14 seconds without passports or documents.

Immigration queues and document checks may soon be history at Dubai International Airport. As part of its “Travel Without Borders” initiative, the airport has introduced an AI-powered passenger corridor that clears travelers in seconds using facial recognition and biometric data.

The system removes the need for passport counters, boarding passes, or smart gates. Passengers simply walk through a corridor, where GenAI verifies their identity against pre-registered records in real time. Up to 10 people can be processed simultaneously, cutting delays and improving security oversight.

Unlike earlier AI efforts such as Dubai’s “smart tunnel,” this corridor adds continuous monitoring. Identities are cross-checked against biometric databases as travelers move, with anomalies flagged instantly for human review. This reduces false approvals while eliminating bottlenecks at entry points, creating a seamless flow for passengers.

Currently live in Terminal 3’s First and Business Class lounges, the system is planned for wider rollout across the airport. Handling over 80 million travelers annually, Dubai Airport sees GenAI as critical for efficiency, safety, and convenience. The goal is “Unlimited Smart Travel,” where document-free immigration becomes the global standard.
