Moonvalley launches Marey, a GenAI video model designed for Hollywood and advertisers, offering ethical, high-quality content generation.
Moonvalley has introduced Marey, a GenAI video model designed for Hollywood and advertisers, offering ethical, high-quality content generation with industry-specific features. Unlike models trained on scraped data, Marey is built on fully licensed content. This addresses ethical concerns while maintaining competitive performance.
The model enables precise scene construction, allowing creators to define characters, settings, and camera movements with game-engine-like flexibility. It supports native video generation up to 30 seconds. Surpassing the industry average of 5–10 seconds. Also, ensures scene continuity across multiple clips, an issue that plagues many GenAI video models. Users can direct virtual cameras, stage scenes, and animate individual elements like wind-blown hair or moving objects.
Developed in collaboration with Asteria, Marey is tailored to professional filmmakers rather than casual users. Offering intuitive controls that integrate seamlessly into traditional production workflows. By eliminating reliance on text prompts alone, the model provides creators with a hands-on approach to digital cinematography, empowering them to achieve complex visual storytelling with AI assistance.
As competition in generative video AI intensifies, Moonvalley positions Marey as an alternative to models from Meta, Google, and Adobe. By focusing on industry collaboration and ethical sourcing, the company aims to redefine AI’s role in filmmaking, expanding creative possibilities while maintaining control over artistic vision.
