SoundCloud launches GenAI tools for music creation while pledging ethical use, copyright respect, and democratized access for creators.

SoundCloud has unveiled six new GenAI tools aimed at simplifying music creation and enhancing creativity. Among the tools are Tuney, for remixing and editing tracks; Tuttii, which enables licensed music remixing; and AlBeatz, for generating beats. Other tools include TwoShot, a collaborative custom sample generator; Starmony, designed for singers and rappers; and ACE Studio, which creates singing vocals from MIDI and lyrics using AI voices. These innovations lower barriers for artists, providing resources that previously required studio access or specialized training.

SoundCloud ensures transparency by tagging uploaded tracks with the AI tool used, such as “Made with Tutti.” Artists can directly edit these tracks from their profiles, fostering an ecosystem of continuous creativity. The company emphasized its commitment to ethical AI use, stating that its tools allow creators to remix, edit, and produce music without extensive experience while respecting copyright laws.

To support this, SoundCloud has partnered with Audible Magic, offering access to over 100 million songs and metadata, and Pex, which employs AI to identify even heavily modified audio and video, ensuring copyright compliance and fair compensation for rights holders. These collaborations reinforce SoundCloud’s commitment to ethical practices and innovation.

SoundCloud has also joined AI for Music’s “Principles for Music Creation with AI,” pledging to uphold creators’ rights. CEO Eliah Seton emphasized that these tools democratize music creation while ensuring responsible AI use. “We empower creators at every level, fueling experimentation and fandom,” he stated.
