Verisk connects regulated insurance analytics with Claude, bringing governed GenAI directly into underwriting and claims workflows.

Verisk integrated its GenAI insurance analytics into Anthropic’s Claude through new Model Context Protocol connectors. The integration allows insurance professionals to access regulatory-grade insights through natural language conversations. Insurance workflows often depend on fragmented systems. As well as manual searches, and disconnected dashboards. GenAI addresses these inefficiencies by surfacing contextual insights directly inside existing enterprise workflows. This reduces navigation complexity while preserving human oversight in high-stakes insurance decisions.

The largest challenge involves balancing GenAI speed with insurance-grade governance and explainability. Insurance decisions require traceable data. As well as compliance controls, and strict accountability standards. And so, Verisk solves this by embedding governed analytics directly into Claude instead of exposing raw autonomous outputs. The system keeps professionals responsible for final underwriting and claims decisions. This approach allows insurers to adopt GenAI without compromising compliance. As well as contractual obligations, or regulatory requirements.

Verisk launched two GenAI connectors focused on underwriting intelligence and restoration estimating. Underwriters can conversationally access ISO filing signals. As well as loss trends, and actuarial insights without switching systems. Restoration contractors can generate estimate guidance and pricing insights using natural language prompts. So this reduces repetitive research tasks while accelerating decision support across claims and underwriting workflows. Verisk estimates insurers could save hundreds of hours yearly through streamlined underwriting analysis. Contractors may also save up to two hours per estimate using conversational estimating support.

The broader enterprise significance extends beyond insurance. Many regulated industries struggle to integrate GenAI safely into mission-critical workflows. Verisk demonstrates how enterprises can combine domain-specific data. As well as governance frameworks, and conversational interfaces inside controlled environments. This model shows how GenAI can support professionals without replacing accountability or human judgment.
