ShengShu Technology Vidu Q2 debuts a full GenAI image stack with high consistency, fast output, and free 1080p generation.
ShengShu Technology has launched a major upgrade to Vidu Q2, expanding the model from a video-first system into a unified GenAI engine for both images and motion. The update addresses long-standing challenges in image generation. These are the inconsistent characters, unstable layouts, slow rendering, and high costs. Vidu Q2 now introduces text-to-image, high-fidelity reference-to-image, and full image editing. Offering creators a single system for exploration, refinement, and production. ShengShu is providing free unlimited 1080p usage through the end of 2025 to accelerate adoption and benchmark itself against top global models.
The new capabilities focus on consistency, which remains the hardest GenAI problem for production teams. Vidu Q2 stabilizes faces, logos, and spatial layouts even when multiple reference images are used. Its text-to-image engine supports complex compositions. This also includes a four-panel comics and traditional Chinese-style visuals, with strong texture rendering. The editing tools add precise control, enabling object removal. As well as outfit changes, lighting adjustments, and detail repair without breaking identity or structure. Independent benchmarks show the model outperforming major commercial systems on image editing reliability.
Speed and scalability make the update suitable for high-volume creative environments. Vidu Q2 generates images in as little as five seconds and supports 1080p, 2K, and 4K output for use in ads. As well as posters, storyboards, game assets, thumbnails, and social content. The model reduces reliance on multiple tools by merging image and video creation into one workflow. Creators can design characters or scenes once, save them as references. Also, reuse them in videos with consistent identity and appearance. This cuts friction for teams producing multi-format campaigns under tight schedules.
The unified engine strengthens ShengShu’s strategy to challenge global leaders with faster iteration and lower operational cost. Advertisers, animation teams, and digital studios can now maintain continuity across key visuals. As well as storyboards, and cinematic clips without switching platforms. Vidu Q2 positions itself as a production-grade ecosystem rather than a standalone generator. Overall, aiming to collapse the gap between ideation and finished visual storytelling.
