WideLabs launches Amazônia AI, Brazil’s first sovereign GenAI platform, built fully on Oracle Cloud to ensure data control and security.

WideLabs, a Brazilian GenAI startup, has developed Amazônia AI, the country’s first sovereign GenAI. The platform was built entirely on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to guarantee that all data stays within Brazil. This approach addresses two key challenges for enterprises: maintaining sovereignty over sensitive information and ensuring large-scale AI performance.

Running on Oracle’s Tier 3 data centers, powered by clean energy, the system uses advanced H100 GPUs to handle high-volume training. This allows WideLabs to compete with global providers while delivering a Brazilian Portuguese conversational model. By eliminating dependence on international data centers, the company provides clients with legal and business security. While also aligning with Brazil’s regulatory and sustainability goals.

With Oracle’s backing, WideLabs expanded quickly from five to more than 50 employees and now serves major clients across Latin America. Most contracts originate from Oracle’s marketplace and sales network, giving WideLabs broader reach. Their sovereign platform, Amazônia 360, launched in 2025, adds a PaaS layer that lets companies manage their own AI securely. It enables data curation, automates repetitive tasks, and generates cross-referenced insights for strategic decisions.

The benefits extend beyond efficiency. Businesses gain faster deployment of AI tools without the compliance risks of foreign-hosted models. Productivity improves as teams shift focus from manual tasks to higher-value work. With revenue expected to nearly double in 2025, WideLabs has positioned itself as a leader in sovereign GenAI across Latin America, offering an alternative to multinational providers.
