Amazon expands its GenAI tools to streamline product listing creation and enhance existing listings for Australian sellers.

Amazon has introduced an expanded suite of GenAI tools for its sellers in Australia, making it easier to create and enhance product listings. The new features include a URL listing capability, allowing sellers to create listings by providing a product URL, such as one from their own direct-to-consumer website. The AI tool automatically generates high-quality and engaging content for Amazon’s store, which sellers can review and submit.

The AI tools can also suggest relevant attributes like color and keywords to help optimize product visibility during customer searches, streamlining the entire listing creation process. Additionally, Amazon has rolled out tools that allow sellers to provide a few descriptive words or upload a product image, with the AI suggesting product titles, descriptions, and other details for sellers to review.

Leveraging large language models trained on extensive datasets, including Amazon’s product catalog, these tools can recognize, summarize, and generate text to enhance product descriptions. The new capabilities also enable sellers to enrich existing listings by automatically filling in missing information, thereby improving content quality and saving time.

Amit Mahto, Amazon Australia’s director of seller services, emphasized that these tools reduce the time sellers spend on creating listings, allowing them to focus on their core business while improving the customer shopping experience with more compelling product information.
