Bloomberg GenAI tool brings analysts extract insights faster from earnings calls, reports, and filings using plain language prompts.

Bloomberg brings AI-Powered Document Insights, a GenAI tool that simplifies how financial analysts interact with complex corporate documents. Integrated into the Bloomberg Terminal, the feature enables users to query company reports, earnings call transcripts, and investor presentations using natural language, surfacing clear, actionable insights in seconds.

This GenAI capability addresses the challenge of navigating thousands of lengthy documents under time pressure. Analysts can now ask direct questions like “What did the CFO say about inflation?” and receive summarized responses backed by excerpts from the source document. Bloomberg has trained the model using its AI guardrails and domain-specific data to ensure accuracy and relevance in financial language.

The tool covers more than 200 million documents, including earnings calls, M&A briefings, and shareholder meetings. Users can explore themes like tariffs, costs, or supply chain impacts without manually scanning pages. Transparency links highlight the original text, while audio clips allow users to hear the speaker’s tone.

Early users at ING and NatWest Markets say it saves time and improves coverage of multiple companies, especially during busy earnings seasons. The GenAI assistant also complements other Bloomberg AI tools like News Summaries and Earnings Call Summaries.

By embedding GenAI into workflows, Bloomberg enables faster decision-making, deeper peer comparisons, and more scalable investment research. The platform supports structured research, offers real-time updates, and fits into broader enterprise stacks.
