InVideo unveils its new GenAI-powered video creation tool, allowing users to generate custom videos through text prompts in various styles.
Indian video platform InVideo, backed by Tiger Global, has introduced a GenAI video tool in its latest release, InVideo v3.0. This feature enables users to create videos by typing in prompts, allowing for styles such as live-action, animation, or anime. Designed for a range of formats, including YouTube, Instagram Reels, and LinkedIn, the tool also supports editing through additional text prompts, making it highly customizable.
InVideo’s GenAI tool operates on a model pipeline, pulling from multiple models to interpret prompts and generate videos. While this setup doesn’t currently match the high precision of custom models, it provides a flexible and scalable solution for creative video generation. Users are allocated “generation credits” to manage costs, with plans starting at $120 per month for 15 minutes of generated content. This new feature builds on InVideo’s prior prompt-based tools, which primarily relied on combining licensed footage rather than creating original video.
Competing with platforms like D-ID and Captions, InVideo focuses on accessibility, offering a streamlined interface aimed at individuals, creators, and small businesses rather than large production teams. CEO Sanket Shah highlights that InVideo’s goal is to democratize high-quality video production, allowing users to create visually varied and longer-form content by harnessing GenAI. Although initial outputs may vary in quality mid-video, the company plans to enhance stability and overall quality in future iterations.
With 4 million monthly active users and a growing GenAI feature set, InVideo is expanding into the AI-driven video space with high user engagement. Shah also mentioned that the startup is on track to generate $50 million in revenue this year, indicating strong market demand for simplified AI-driven video solutions.
