Motorola has launched its first open beta program to test genAI features on phones, aiming to enhance Moto AI capabilities with user feedback.

Motorola‘s Moto AI tackles common challenges like managing information overload and enhancing user experience through innovative tools. Features like “Catch Me Up” provide summaries of missed notifications, ensuring users stay informed without sifting through numerous messages. This addresses the challenge of information fatigue by delivering only the most relevant updates. “Pay Attention” automates notetaking by recording, transcribing, and summarizing meetings, helping users focus on discussions rather than documentation.

“Remember This” offers personalized memory recall, storing photos, screenshots, and key facts privately in a Journal. This feature uses generative AI to present contextual insights and revisit important moments, enhancing user interaction with their data. These tools collectively streamline productivity, reduce manual effort, and offer a more organized digital experience.

Moto AI also introduces an accessible search bar powered by genAI. Users can perform natural language searches via voice or text to find apps, contacts, or settings, and even access news and journal entries. This eliminates the need for complex queries. Making information retrieval faster and more intuitive. Additionally, “Smart Actions” enables task automation through simple commands, like launching the camera or scanning documents.

The global beta program, available from November 27, aims to harness user insights to improve these genAI tools. Users with qualifying Motorola devices can join the program, marking a significant step in Motorola’s commitment to integrating genAI into daily technology use. By integrating advanced AI features, Motorola seeks to enhance user convenience, optimize productivity, and deliver a more intelligent, personalized mobile experience.
