ISKCON’s BBT launches Transcend 2.0, using GenAI to deliver scripture-based guidance and bridge ancient wisdom with modern seekers.
ISKCON‘s The Bhaktivedanta Book Trust (BBT) has launched Transcend 2.0, an upgraded version of its e-library app. This enhanced app introduces an AI-powered tool called Transcend AI, which delivers precise spiritual guidance based on Srila Prabhupada’s teachings. The app aims to meet the rising global demand for authentic spiritual literature and a growing interest in ancient Indian wisdom.
Powered by a Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) framework, Transcend AI provides contextually relevant responses from ISKCON’s extensive library of scriptures. Unlike traditional AI models that rely on generic internet data, this app ensures that users receive genuine, scripture-based insights. Transcend 2.0 features over 8,000 hours of audio content and 600 complimentary e-books in 11 languages. Enhancing accessibility and enabling personalized interactions with Vaishnava teachings.
Sri Ananda Tirtha Dasa from ISKCON emphasizes that today’s Gen Z and Millennials navigate an information-rich environment filled with misleading content. The app serves as a trusted spiritual companion, making ancient wisdom accessible and relevant for modern seekers. It bridges the gap between traditional teachings and contemporary understanding, providing accurate insights rooted in scripture.
Key features of Transcend 2.0 include AI-based spiritual guidance, mobile and desktop accessibility, and simplified spiritual teachings through flashcards. The app also serves as a repository for Srila Prabhupada’s texts, protecting users from altered or counterfeit versions of spiritual literature. With the support of international payment systems, including Bangladeshi Taka, Transcend 2.0 aims to enhance the spiritual journey for users worldwide, offering deep engagement with timeless teachings.
