MakeMyTrip uses Adobe GenAI tools to boost design efficiency, personalize travel experiences, and reimagine digital journeys.

At Adobe MAX 2025, MakeMyTrip’s Head of Design, Aakash Kumar, revealed how the company is using Adobe’s GenAI tools to transform digital travel experiences. With AI embedded in its creative workflows, MakeMyTrip is rethinking how travelers interact with its platform—from trip discovery to booking.

The company’s design philosophy centers on both user experience and business growth. Generative AI is helping reshape traditional customer journeys, turning static funnels into intent-driven conversations. By analyzing behavior and interaction data, MakeMyTrip uses AI to personalize every touchpoint, predicting what travelers need before they ask.

A key innovation comes from the company’s deep partnership with Adobe, leveraging tools like Firefly and Express. These GenAI-powered solutions have reduced design turnaround times by up to 50%, allowing faster campaign creation and interface optimization. Aakash noted that Adobe’s copyright-safe enterprise AI platform was critical for maintaining ethical standards and ensuring content security. It is a major factor in their enterprise licensing decision.

Beyond speed, AI has unlocked hyper-personalization in design. MakeMyTrip now tailors homepages, recommendations, and visuals based on user intent and past interactions. This data-driven customization not only improves engagement but also enhances trust and convenience for millions of travelers. Looking ahead, the company is exploring multimodal AI interfaces that blend voice, image, and text inputs, enabling travelers to search and book more intuitively.

Kumar believes GenAI will augment, not replace, designers. “AI brings productivity, not taste,” he said. “Creativity and empathy will always stay human.” By merging design sensibility with GenAI precision, MakeMyTrip is defining a new era of human-centered travel innovation.
