Relativity integrates GenAI tools into its legal cloud, cutting review time by 80% and boosting early case insights.
Relativity has announced that its suite of GenAI tools, aiR for Review and aiR for Privilege, will now be included in all RelativityOne subscriptions. The move positions GenAI as standard for legal review, aiming to accelerate document analysis, case preparation, and early case intelligence. This change eliminates cost barriers for firms adopting AI-driven workflows.
The company’s GenAI tools address a core challenge in litigation: the time and expense required for document review. With aiR for Review, legal teams can analyze up to 3 million documents daily, achieving up to 85% faster turnaround. In one case, Purpose Legal used it to complete a 300,000-document review in a week, saving 4,000 manual hours and over $70,000. aiR for Privilege, meanwhile, detects sensitive materials, explains its reasoning, and validates decisions with traceable logic, helping firms defend privilege calls confidently.
Relativity also showcased aiR for Case Strategy, which helps litigators shift from review to action by automatically generating timelines, summaries, and witness materials. Over 40 firms have used it to analyze more than a million documents, drastically reducing the time needed for strategic preparation. The upcoming aiR Assist will add natural language search, helping lawyers uncover key case facts in minutes instead of weeks.
Together, these solutions show how GenAI can handle massive legal datasets with speed and accuracy, transforming litigation workflows. As CEO Phil Saunders noted, “We’re not just making AI available, we’re making it foundational to legal intelligence.”
