Syngenta Group Cropwise AI enhances agriculture with data-driven recommendations, helping farmers to boost yields and sustainability.
Syngenta Group, a leader in agricultural innovation, has launched Cropwise AI, a GenAI-powered system that helps farmers make more informed decisions. By integrating machine learning with decades of agricultural data, Cropwise AI offers personalized recommendations for optimal crop management, improving yield and profitability while reducing environmental impact.
Cropwise AI uses Syngenta’s 20+ years of weather data, crop observations, and historical yields to generate actionable insights. These insights help farmers tackle complex agricultural challenges like pest control, seed placement, and disease management. By leveraging these models, farmers can boost crop yields by up to 5%. Cropwise AI also enables precise input application. Minimizing waste and optimizing resource use, contributing to more sustainable farming.
A key feature of Cropwise AI is its ability to communicate complex agronomic advice through a multi-lingual large language model (LLM). This GenAI tool translates vast amounts of data into clear, simple language for farmers worldwide. Farmers can use this information to make decisions on everything from disease control to product placement. Additionally, the integration of Syngenta’s GHX 2.0 app allows growers to query the system and receive real-time advice tailored to their unique agricultural challenges.
Looking ahead, Syngenta plans to enhance Cropwise AI with features like advanced disease, pest management, and sustainability analytics. These will measure the environmental impact of farming practices, providing insights to reduce carbon footprints. Cropwise AI is currently available to select customers in the U.S. and Brazil, with plans for expansion into Europe. This focus on continuous improvement demonstrates the system’s potential to transform agriculture.
