USSOCOM deploys SOFchat, a GenAI platform from Legion Intelligence, to transform military intelligence and decision-making at speed.

USSOCOM integrates GenAI across mission workflows with SOFchat, Legion Intelligence has launched SOFchat, the first enterprise-wide GenAI platform within U.S. Special Operations Command. The system is embedded across intelligence, mission planning, and training workflows. Designed to streamline information flow and operational decisions, SOFchat automates report generation, video analysis, and real-time data synthesis. As a result, special operations teams now process intelligence up to 18 times faster and analyze surveillance feeds nine times quicker than before.

Improved situational awareness through GenAI speed and synthesis. SOFchat enhances decision-making by rapidly summarizing vast data streams from multiple inputs. It connects with key platforms like Palantir’s Apollo Mission Manager, Dataminr, and Microsoft Office, ensuring seamless integration across systems. The tool synthesizes live reporting from complex operational environments, enabling commanders to act on insights almost instantly. This shift supports faster, more informed decisions during national security missions worldwide.

Scalable, interoperable GenAI solution for defense environments. Built to support the Department of Defense’s Open DAGIR framework, SOFchat fits within standardized architecture, simplifying onboarding of commercial AI systems. Its interoperability allows data and insights to flow smoothly across different applications. This architecture increases flexibility and reduces acquisition bottlenecks, accelerating how quickly units can adopt and use advanced GenAI capabilities in the field.

GenAI innovation aligned with SOCOM’s mission-first ethos. USSOCOM’s adoption of SOFchat reflects its forward-leaning approach to AI. By integrating GenAI into core military operations, the command gains speed, clarity, and precision in high-stakes environments. Legion Intelligence’s deployment demonstrates how trusted AI tools can enhance mission execution, improve intelligence workflows, and support national defense objectives.
