NVIDIA AI Aerial platform harnesses GenAI to optimize wireless networks and unlock new services for telecom operators.

NVIDIA has introduced AI Aerial, a platform combining GenAI with radio access network (RAN) technology to enhance wireless networks. This AI-powered platform helps telecom providers enhance network performance, reduce costs, and support next-gen applications like autonomous vehicles, 5G, and smart factories. By integrating GenAI into network optimization, AI Aerial opens new revenue streams while improving network efficiency and flexibility.

A key challenge in telecom is optimizing networks while managing costs. AI Aerial solves this by offering software-defined RAN powered by AI, which improves spectral efficiency and network traffic management. The platform supports the development, training, and deployment of AI models for wireless networks. This allows telecom providers to offer new services such as AI-driven co-pilots, robotic operations, and advanced 3D collaboration tools, addressing the growing demand for real-time, data-heavy applications.

AI Aerial includes NVIDIA’s Aerial CUDA-Accelerated RAN, AI Radio Frameworks, and Omniverse Digital Twin, all designed to enhance network performance. These tools allow telecom operators to run virtualized RAN workloads and simulate wireless systems with realistic, large-scale models. By integrating GenAI into RAN operations, telecom providers can create smarter, more agile networks. This leads to better connectivity and new AI-powered services that were previously difficult to implement.

To accelerate AI-RAN innovation, NVIDIA has partnered with major telecom companies like T-Mobile, Nokia, and Ericsson. The AI-RAN Innovation Center will foster collaboration to advance AI applications in RAN, enabling telecom providers to bring AI-powered solutions to market faster. Through AI Aerial, NVIDIA is helping telecom operators tap into the full potential of GenAI in wireless networks.
